Indie House is a small studio. This page explains what our website and apps collect, what they do not, and where to ask questions.
last updated: August 14, 2026We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand broad, aggregate patterns—such as pages visited, approximate country, browser, device type, referrer, and time of visit. This helps us see what is useful and improve the site.
When you buy a digital product, checkout may collect your name, email address, billing details, purchase amount, currency, tax information, payment status, and technical information needed to prevent fraud and deliver the order.
Vercel Web Analytics is designed to provide aggregated, privacy-focused reporting without third-party cookies. It does not create a cross-site browsing profile. Vercel may process limited technical and usage information to provide analytics.
StoryTime does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking. Core reading data—such as progress, favorites, display name, settings, reading statistics, Choice DNA, achievements, and personal stories—stays on the device.
The optional AI story creator sends the title, premise, story type, and genre entered by the reader directly from the app to Anthropic using the reader's own API key. The key is stored in Apple Keychain. Indie House does not proxy or receive that request, and Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy apply. Readers should not enter sensitive personal information and are responsible for any usage charges on their key.
If a reader configures an optional remote catalog URL, StoryTime makes a normal HTTPS request to the host they selected. Local reminders, narration, and sharing are controlled by the device; the app does not require camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo access.
HousePlants.ai does not require an account and does not use advertising, analytics SDKs, or tracking. Your plant collection, care settings, journal entries, profile information, and local photos stay on your device. When available, selected plant state and preferences may be mirrored through Apple's private iCloud key-value store; journal and profile photos remain on the device.
Optional features may use the camera or photo library for plant identification and journaling, approximate location with Apple WeatherKit for climate-aware care, HomeKit sensors for temperature and humidity alerts, Calendar for exporting reminders, and notifications for care schedules. If you use Plant Identifier, the selected photo is sent over HTTPS to Pl@ntNet using an API key you provide. Indie House does not bundle or receive a shared key. HousePlants.ai has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. These services have their own privacy terms.
Stripe processes checkout and payment information. Indie House receives order and contact details but does not receive your full card number. If purchase emails are enabled, Resend processes the email address and delivery message. Vercel hosts the site and stores the private product file. Each provider handles information under its own privacy terms.
Purchase information is used to take payment, verify and deliver downloads, send transactional messages, provide support, prevent fraud, keep financial records, and meet legal or tax obligations. It is not sold. Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
Links to social platforms, app stores, YouTube, and other third-party sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. If you message Indie House through one of those services, the information you choose to share is handled by that platform as well as by Indie House.
You can block or limit analytics through browser settings or privacy tools. You may also ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you have shared directly, subject to records Indie House must retain by law. As Indie House adds new products, forms, accounts, or services, this notice may change. We will update the date above when it does.
